Things We Love: Lace Headbands

Lace headbands add a fun and feminine touch to your daily wardrobe. We've all seen the cotton stretch headbands that girls like to wear when working out or if they haven't had the chance to shower, usually with their hair in a pony. These lace headbands come in fun colors and are super cute.

An Etsy seller, picperfect, is currently selling 4 for $7.95 in a wide variety of colors. They also offer different sizes too. The baby ones are presh.

DIY: J. Crew Bracelet

Looking at the J. Crew website, I came upon this bracelet that I loved right away. That is everything except the $36 price tag for something I knew I could make myself. Here I’m going to show you how to make your own look-a-like for way less.
Here’s the original J. Crew bracelet in hot pink
I went to Von’s located on Purdue’s campus. It is the place to go if you are looking to make jewelery. As soon as I walked in I saw a jewelery looking tree filled with loads of silk ribbons in a rainbow of colors. I picked out a hot pink one and a Tiffany Blue one (of course). You can probably find them at your local fabric and craft store.
Next, I had to pick out the beads. I chose 10 small golden beads and 10 small silver beads (gold for the pink ribbon and silver for the blue one to switch things up). The total came to about $13!
Making it is simple, tie a knot on one end (large enough so the bead doesn’t slide off) and string on the rest of the beads evenly spacing them out. To wear, wrap it around your wrist as many times as you can and tie a knot in the end. If you want you can add cute little charms on them. I added an old peace sign charm that did not look good by itself since it had changed colors but with the bracelet it looks cool.
